We are so thrilled to welcome Dr. Megan Harper, BCBA-D, LBA to our a.c.e. Therapies team. She will join our BCBA team in the Western Suburbs serving our Naperville location. Dr. Harper received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Spanish from University of MIchigan, Masters in Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan, and Ph.D in Applied Behavior Analysis from University of Nebraska Medical Center. She recently was a Clinical Instructor and Assistant Clinical Supervisor at Marquette University. Congratulations to Thomas Svoboda, our BCBA practicum student, and Amber Gonzalez, our BCaBA practicum student, who presented their poster “The Autistic Population in the Future” at the ILABA conference recently. Their literature review focused on the state of ABA in adult services in the present day, highlighting the need for increased funding, research, scope, training, and overall service provision. They went the extra mile to provide clinical guidance to aspiring adult service practitioners based on their own experiences in our Adult Learning Center. They emphasize the need for well trained BCBAs, well-trained RBTs, and socially significant programming. Check out their poster below.
